How does it work?
The Thursday clinic is a walk-in, first come, first served system.
After entering the clinic, check in with the reception desk. If it's your first time at the clinic, there will be some paperwork to complete. You can also complete this paperwork in advance online, just contact us to arrange this if you'd like.
There is a waiting area where you can make yourself comfortable, and have a cup of tea if you are waiting to be seen. You can also sit outside and watch the boats go by - we'll find you when it's your turn!
Visits are generally short, and are structured to focus on one issue. If you have a very complex case you may be asked to come back on another day for a full intake.
Our last intake of the evening is at 8:30
What kind of treatment can you provide?
The Naturopathic Doctors can provide acute care for patients of all ages. We see things like aches, pains, injury, coughs, colds, headaches, digestive complaints, and more. We offer a variety of treatment options depending on patient needs. These include nutritional or exercise advice, herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping, lab testing, supplement recommendations, etc.
We are not able to prescribe most pharmaceuticals, but are well trained on the topic and can provide education if required. We will always discuss the full breadth of treatment options so that you can make an informed decision. In no way are we in opposition to, or an alternative of 'conventional' options - we aim for collaboration and cooperation in order for each patient to get the best quality care.
What does it cost?
In Ontario, Naturopathic Doctors operate outside the OHIP system, and therefore we cannot bill that way. For this reason, the walk in clinic is strictly pay-what-you-can. Suggested price is $30. We will never turn someone away based on their ability to pay. Nor will we ever ask for any proof of financial status.
There is the option to pay via cash, credit, or debit.
